Concrete Patios
Transform your backyard into the outdoor living space you have always wanted with a custom concrete patio built to last.

A Patio That Actually Gets Used
A concrete patio is not just a slab in your backyard. It is a place where you grill dinner, host friends, relax after work, and watch the kids play. It is an extension of your home, and it should look good and hold up to years of use without cracking, settling, or turning into a maintenance headache.
We have been pouring patios in Quincy for years, and we know what works. We build patios that drain properly, stay level, and match the style of your home. Whether you want a simple backyard hangout or a high-end outdoor entertainment area, we can design and install a patio that fits your space and your budget.
If you are also planning other work like a new driveway or walkway, we can coordinate everything so the concrete matches and the project runs smoothly.
How We Build Patios That Last
A quality patio starts with proper planning and preparation. We do not just pour concrete and hope it lasts. Every step matters, from excavation to the final finish. Here is how we do it.
Site Preparation and Layout
We start by marking out the patio area and making sure it fits your space. If you are working with an existing deck or landscaping, we plan around it. We also check the grade to ensure water drains away from your house. Poor drainage is one of the main reasons patios crack and settle, so we take this step seriously.
Excavation and Base Work
We dig out the area to the proper depth and remove any grass, roots, or debris. Then we add a layer of compacted gravel or crushed stone. This base layer gives the concrete a stable foundation and helps with drainage. If the ground is not compacted properly, the patio will settle and crack over time. We make sure the base is solid before we move forward.
Forms and Reinforcement
We set up forms to shape the patio and hold the concrete in place while it cures. We also add rebar or wire mesh to reinforce the slab and prevent cracking. For larger patios or areas with unstable soil, we use additional reinforcement to make sure everything stays strong and level.
Pouring and Finishing
Once the prep work is done, we pour the concrete and finish it to your specifications. We can do a simple broom finish, a smooth trowel finish, or decorative options like stamped or stained concrete. We cut control joints to manage cracking and make sure the surface is level and properly sloped for drainage.
After the concrete is poured, it needs time to cure. We give you specific instructions on when you can walk on it and when it is ready for furniture and regular use. A properly cured patio will last for decades with minimal maintenance.
Patio Design Options and Upgrades
Not every patio needs to look the same. Depending on your style and budget, there are several finishes and design options to choose from. Here are the most popular choices we install.
- Standard Broom Finish: The most affordable and practical option. It provides good traction and a clean, professional look.
- Stamped Concrete: Gives you the look of stone, brick, or slate without the high cost or maintenance. Stamped patios are one of our most popular upgrades.
- Stained or Colored Concrete: Adds color and character. We can integrate color into the mix or apply acid stains for a unique, natural look.
- Exposed Aggregate: A textured finish that reveals the stones in the concrete. It is durable, slip-resistant, and adds visual interest.
- Multi-Level Patios: If you have a sloped yard, we can build a multi-level patio with steps and retaining walls to create distinct outdoor living areas.
We can also add features like fire pit pads, built-in seating areas, and borders that tie into your landscaping. If you are planning a pool deck or outdoor kitchen, we can design the patio to accommodate those features and make sure everything flows together.
Every patio we pour is custom to your property. We take measurements, discuss your vision, and provide a detailed estimate before any work begins. We want you to know exactly what you are getting before we start.
